About Martin Geary
All Replica miniature surfboards are handmade by Martin Geary, a craftsman with 35 years of worldwide experience in the surfboard industry.
Although Martin is no longer able to surf or build the "real ones" due to osteoarthritis, he now produces a range of custom miniatures.
Martin's beautiful miniature surfboards (14ins/36cm long) are made from the same materials as their big brothers and are hand made in exactly the same way.
- The foam blanks are split and glued together with wooden stringers, then hand shaped.
- After the design has been sprayed on they are then laminated, hand sanded, glossed and polished.
- The finished boards are displayed on custom-made stained and varnished vertical stands with the addition of a sterling silver plaque if desired.
Martin produces a standard stock of miniature boards but will also produce custom designs to individual requirements.
